Moira Kelly, people say that after ‘Chaplin’ had she not left Hollywood and shifted to New York, she would have ruled the Hollywood today. What more can I say to describe this amazing actress. Moira was born to Peter and Anne. Her father was a professional violinist, and her mother was a nurse. Moira was the third of six children. She attended Connetquot Senior High School in Bohemia, Long Island and graduated in 1986. Following the footsteps of her father she too is an accomplished violinist, drummer, and flutist. Moira started doing theater from her school time and even competed in Opera.

Moira started her acting career with acting in movies. She has worked in movies like ‘Chaplin’, ‘With Honors’, and ‘Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me’. But the movie that got her maximum fame was ‘The Cutting Edge’.

Coming to her television career we have seen her in series like The West Wing and in One Tree Hill, where she plays the role of Karen, single mother to Lucas. In the series she runs a café. She has also appeared on ‘Law and Order’ and in 2009 she will join the cast of Heroes. Apart from this the actress has also given her voice to the character of Nala in Disney’s ‘The Lion King’, ‘The Lion King 1 ½’, and ‘The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride.’

Coming to her personal life Moira is married to Steve Hewitt, a businessman in Texas. The couple has two children, a daughter and a son by the name Ella and Eamon.
