Paul Johansson is better known as Dan Scott from ‘One Tree Hill’. In the series he plays father to Nathan and Lucas, but he has never accepted Lucas and his mother and not even given his name to him. Though later in the series he does feel the urge to give Lucas his name publicly. In the series he is married to Deb, Nathan’s mother but lots of ups and down are going on in his married life.
Paul was born to Earl Johnson, a professional hockey player. Just like his father he was an athlete and used to play basketball. But after sometime he left basketball and started writing. It was writing that led him to acting. The first time he made an appearance on television was on the soap opera, ‘Santa Barbara’. Soon afterwards we saw him making appearances on television shows like ‘Parker Lewis Can’t Lose’, ‘Beverly Hills 90210’ and ‘Lonesome Dove.’ He is also very famous for his role of Nick Wolfe, in the short lived series ‘Highlander: The Raven’.

Apart from television he has also done a number of commercials, but the most notable one out of those is for Diet Coke. Besides this he has also appeared in movies like ‘Soapdish’, ‘John Q’, ‘Alpha Dog’, ‘The Notebook’ and ‘Novel Romance’. Apart from acting the Paul also has a passion for directing. He has directed a film by the name ‘The Incredible Mrs. Ritchie’ and has also directed a number of episodes of ‘One Tree Hill’.

The actor is currently living in Wilmington, North Carolina, where he is shooting and directing the series One Tree Hill. Paul has citizenship of both US and Canada. Paul can speak French fluently.
