When two young guys of almost the same caliber and age, meet each other what would it be like? Especially if one is a famous basketball star and the other one, when given the chance to be in the team proves him equally worth while. Will the two be able to accept each other or will there be lots of bitterness between the two? Besides all this there is one thing that is common between the two and that could also be one of the most disturbing fact for the two and that is, they both have a common father.

Things are not that straight as they might just look to you. The two share a common father but they did not share their childhood. One out of them was lucky enough to have his father at his side, who, gave him everything and thought him everything and made him reach the place where he is today, the hottest star of the high school basketball team Ravens. And here we are talking about Nathan Scott. Nathan is the legitimate son of Dan, who was the greatest talent of this small town, Tree Hill. He now runs a successful car dealership and helps his son to get the same position that he was having at some point, when it comes to game. But on the other hand is Lucas, whose father did not accept him and he lived all his life with his mother, the owner of a café. Lucas grew up with Dan’s older but poor brother Keith who also acted as his substitute father as a social reject. Lucas had a very normal childhood and is not spoiled like his brother, reading is his passion. But when he is forced to play basketball, he proves his worth in the game. But the good thing about the series is that both the brothers are able to maintain good relations with each other in the series.

Besides the story of these two half brothers, there’s a lot going on in the lives of the other young people of Tree Hill, who also form an important part of the series and also good friends with the two brothers.
